Privacy policy

This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website, the project form at /start, the Z‑index Zero iPhone app, and the Zero AI API. If anything here is unclear, email us at Zindexzeroai@gmail.com.

When you visit the site

We don't use ads, ad trackers, or analytics tools. Like any website, the servers that send you our pages see your IP address so they can send them.

When you make an account

You make an account on the site or in the iPhone app. We save your name and email. Amazon Cognito, Amazon's sign-in service, handles your password. We can't see it.

When you send us a project

We save what you type into the project form:

  • your name, work email, company, and job title
  • the project name, what you need, and what a good result looks like
  • your optional answers about the kind of project, budget, timing, where it should run, the type of data, and whether you want an NDA

We use this to review your project and to talk with you about it.

When you use the Zero AI API

  • API keys: we only save a scrambled copy of each key. We can't turn it back into the key.
  • Each AI call: we save a usage record. It shows which AI model ran, how many tokens (small chunks of text) it used, the time, and which key made the call. We use it to show you what your usage costs. Usage records are deleted on their own after about 400 days.
  • We don't save the text of your chats.
  • Documents you upload: we save their text in a private index that only your keys can reach. They stay until you delete them.
  • Style learning: this is off unless you turn it on. If you do, we save a short summary of your writing style. You can see it, change it, or clear it at any time.

How the AI handles your data

Our AI runs on Amazon Bedrock, inside our own AWS account in the US. The models are Z.AI GLM, Anthropic Claude, and Amazon Nova. Amazon Titan helps search your documents. Amazon says that what you send and what comes back is not used to train AI models. It also says that none of it is shared with the companies that make the models.

Who else handles your data

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the site and the app's data in the US. AWS also sends our emails, like sign-in codes and invites, and runs the AI.
  • If you email us, your message goes to our Gmail inbox, which Google runs.
  • If you get the iPhone app from the App Store, Apple handles the download under its own privacy policy.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Account and project details: until you ask us to delete them.
  • AI usage records: about 400 days.
  • Uploaded documents and your style summary: until you delete them.

Your choices

  • You can see your projects and their status at any time, on the site or in the app.
  • You can delete your account inside the iPhone app. That removes your login. Your project requests stay on file until you ask us to remove them.
  • You can turn off or cancel API keys, delete documents, and clear your style summary.
  • Email us to see, fix, or delete anything we hold about you, and we'll do it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
