Everything inside will be encrypted, which means it's scrambled so only you can open it. It won't dig through your data or show you ads. Here's what we have planned.
Security you don't need to be an expert to use
Most security tools expect you to know what a 'key' or a 'cipher' is. We don't think you should have to. Our goal is for Personal to do the hard math out of sight. Keeping your private files safe should feel as easy as dropping them in a folder. The hard parts stay underneath, at layer zero, where you never have to think about them.

Drop in a document and it gets locked right away. You'll be able to sort it, search for it, and open it anywhere, and it stays locked the whole time.
Sign in without a password
Your phone or laptop is your key, and you unlock it with your face or fingerprint. There's nothing to remember and nothing a scammer can trick you into giving away.
Access in an emergency
Pick people you trust to get certain files if something happens to you. You set the rules, including how long they have to wait.
Data leak alerts
A planned feature to warn you, in plain words, if your logins show up in a known data leak.
Private sharing
Send a locked file or folder with a link. The link can expire, you can turn it off at any time, and it never shows the rest of your vault.
Private by default
Personal won't track you, show you ads, or sell your data. Privacy is built in, so there's no setting to hunt for.

No. That's the main rule we're designing around. Your files get locked on your device with a key made from something only you have. So we would only ever store locked data that we can't open. That's the whole point of building at layer zero.
